SCOPE OF SERVICES
Provided construction services for a 40,788 SF Security Complex on diverse sites across NSB, Kings Bay GA, including an Auxiliary Reaction Force Facility (ARFF), an Armored Fighting Vehicle Operational Storage Facility (AFVOSF), an Armory, a Small Ordnance Magazine (SOM), and other facilities to support auxiliary security forces responding to incidents in the Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic (SWFLANT) Limited Area, and NSB Kings Bay GA Waterfront Restricted Area. The ARFF supports an 80-man security force per shift; three shifts a day, and includes secure-parking for six Armored Fighting Vehicles (AFV). The ARFF is a single-story, ballistic-hardened, reinforced concrete structure. The roof is capable of supporting fighting positions and defensive weapon mounts. Meets all ARFP requirements. The ARFF is surrounded by a fence with security lighting, gates, and vehicle barriers. The ARFF includes fire detection, fire suppression, communication, electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and a food preparation and serving area. Built-in equipment includes complete galley equipment and ventilation equipment for the alert vehicle garage. The SOM is an earth covered, multi-cell box type magazine with reinforced concrete walls, roof and floor. The AFVOSF is a reinforced concrete structure for the ready storage of 30 AFVs. The facility has mechanical ventilation, lighting, and reaction force access/egress on all building sides. The Armory is a single-story, bullet-resistant reinforced concrete structure, including built-in racks for weapons storage, ready ammunition storage lockers, a weapons issue area, a weapons repair area with de-greasing and weapons cleaning tanks, and an outside covered pad for weapons cleaning.
