SCOPE OF SERVICES
New construction of a 75' long x 40' deep training tank pool and Applied Instruction Building. The dive tank is a deep concrete pool with an overhead sixty ton gantry crane. The tank is accessed via a new elevated deck. Concrete bleachers and a concrete observation platform are also provided. The Applied Instruction Building is a two-story building containing classroom, training support space, storage, maintenance areas, and mechanical equipment. It is supported on grade beams on auger cast piles. The ground floor is a concrete slab on compacted fill. The exterior is precast panels, steel beams supporting a metal deck at the roof level. This project included demolition of three buildings. This construction services project received the "American Concrete Institute" (ACI) "Significant Concrete Structure" award for 2008.
