Construction Services: Water Control
SCOPE OF SERVICES
This construction services project consists of constructing a water control structure on the Southeast side of Lake Istokpoga, adjacent to the existing 3-bay spillway, S-68. Water control achieved using a Vertical Lift Gate system and fixed concrete weir. Supporting features include new upstream and downstream channels tying into to the existing canal C-41A, Rip Rap shore protection, sheetpile wingwalls and anchor walls, and significant road and bridge work to support existing County Highway. Utilized a Contractor initiated Value Engineering Change to resolve a major design issue while minimizing the cost to the Government.
